     Located at the highest of latest Zealand’s scenic South Island, nestled within the renowned vineyards of Marlborough is that the beautiful Marlborough Lodge.

Sitting in 16 acres of magnificent gardens where tall shady trees, a gently flowing creek, lavender bushes, orchards, vegetable gardens, free-range chickens, and stunning vineyards surround the elegant building.

    Starting life in 1901 as a convent before being moved in 1994 to its current location, provides a stimulating history to the Lodge. an entire renovation in 2017 created it into a luxury 10-suite lodge. Retaining many of its historic elements and mixing those with contemporary decor, a warm and alluring environment has been created. The 10 elegant rooms with large modern en-suites are each dif rent in decor and layout, some retaining glass windows, giving a nod to its past, yet providing all the comforts required for today’s living.

    A heated swimming bath, grass tennis courts, bicycles, and walking trails through the gardens means there's plenty to try to on-site. Alternatively, spending time within the converted chapel, which is now a spacious guest entertainment area, or relaxing by the massive outdoor fireplace with a glass of wine, makes it the right place to relax and unwind at the top of the day.

    A daily changing a la carte menu served each evening, showcases the fabulous seasonal produce from the property and greater New Zealand. The restaurant is additionally open for lunch and dinner to diners who are staying elsewhere within the region and personal wine tastings are available on site.

    Surrounded by the world-famous Marlborough vineyards, producing 75% of all of the latest Zealand wine means there's an abundance of choice on how you would like to experience the wine of the region. Then just 20 minutes’ drive from the Lodge is that the magnificent vast waterways of the Marlborough Sounds. With a spread of marine life like dolphins, seals, stingrays, and therefore the occasional whale there's much to ascertain within the water.
